1984年生於台灣彰化，2016年以「致莎曼珊 To Samatha」 參加南海藝廊聯展「圖像與機制Imagery and
Mechanism」聯展、隔月於水谷藝廊參加「圖像與機制Imagery and Mechanism 2.0」、2017年末以「我盜版了您的攝影集 I pirate your photobooks 」於中國假雜誌平台與中國攝影發表。曾在Focus Art magazine 雜誌書寫介紹攝影、2018年達帕亞洲攝影藝術博覽會策展人、組織HDM出版社以探討盜版攝影集的概念進行理論與技術上的創作。
Murphy Hsu, born in 1984 in Changhua, Taiwan. In recent years, Hsu has shown his work To Samantha in exhibitions such as Imagery and Mechanism (Nanhai Gallery, Taipei, 2016) and Imagery and Mechanism 2.0 (Waley Art, Taipei, 2016). He has also participated in the group exhibition Free Space with the work Breakage of Image Fragments (Fotoaura Institute of Photography, Tainan, 2017). In 2017, his ongoing project I Pirate Your Photobooks was published for the first time in Jiazazhi magazine (Ningbo, China).
Murphy has also worked professionally at TIVAC, Taipei (2013) and Floor 8 Contemporary Art Space (2014), where he specialized in the administration and development of photographic projects. He has been a columnist at the bimonthly Focus Art Magazine since 2016, in which he introduces current topics and worldwide movements in contemporary photographic art. In 2018, he will be launching HDM Publishing, which primary function is to explore conceptual and technical aspects of the production of pirated photobooks.
