Work Text
Visual artist Isabelle Ha Eav questions the representation of the body and the interactions that it emits with the space where it is, that it is a space of habitat, of transition, or a non-place.
In Ferns and Fern Allies, Ralf Knapp acrossed Taïwan and listed 747 different species of ferns.
The geographic diversity of the island explains the variety of ferns, and some ferns result of wind migration from China, Japan and Philippines.
According their locations, ferns acclimate and modify themselves, some grow savagely.
Inspired by the process of hybridization of ferns in Taïwan and by using the materiality of calligraphic rolls and its deployments, her residency project will take shape through an oneiric questionnement of migrations, spaces, and life that arise by the wind.
