We have gathered works from photographers such as Huo-Zeng Li, Dr. Ding-Shou Su, Wun-Jin Yang, Siang-Tsuan Wang, and the twin brothers Siang-Hok Wang, showcasing Tainan's historical charm from the mid-20th century.

Scenes once existed yet no longer present contrast with blocks that stand through time. Ying-Huei Guo photograph the evolution of Yanping Street in Anping, Min-Wei Wang and Huei-Mei Chen document the expansion of Hai-an Road, Sakariba, and Po-I Chen captures the past and present of Tainan China Town, creating a visual juxtaposition with the ongoing construction in present Tainan.

Jhih-Ciang Chen and Wun-Yu Sheu capture the past/present of the West Market on Guohua Street, Shuixian Temple, and Yongle Market in the Five Channels area.

A series of portraits of artisans, artists, and gentry captured by different photographers representing the backbone of Tainan.

Century-old monuments are the most significant participant and witness to culture. Religious rituals are well preserved in Tainan, including worshipping the deities, celebrating the coming-of-age ceremony, conducting Taoist rites, regional incense offerings, and annual performances. The "Dongyue Temple" is a unique presence, serving as a gateway between the realms of the dead (yin) and the living (yang), attracting generations of photographers to capture unimaginable scenes.
