Originally from Hsinchu, currently based in Taipei. She has long been engaged in photography, focusing on the unique cultural lives of various communi- ties. In 2016, she embarked on thematic visual storytelling, and in 2017, she won the first prize at the Next ART Tainan Awards with "The Sorrows of War." From 2019 to 2023, she has been working on the "Witch Genertio" photography project, capturing portraits of young individuals born in Taiwan. Her work documents personal expressions of inner imagination through clothing, bodies, and cultural symbols. She specializes in using combinations of specimens, meat, flowers, and still-life objects, delicately balancing fragile materials with sturdy imagery. Through the ephemeral nature of photog- raphy, she crystallizes light and interaction, creating a dreamlike world that presents peculiar images between reality and illusion. Her work was recognized at the 67th Singapore International Photogra- phy Awards in 2020. She creatively utilizes all objects of interest encountered in daily life. Due to her family’s restaurant business, memories of her childhood often linger between traditional markets and flea markets, making meats and second-hand items the most frequently used elements in her creations.
