1958年生於基隆，創立「夏門攝影藝廊」、「夏門攝影企劃研究室」，積極彙究及數位典藏具代表性臺灣攝影家的作品，並促進展覽與出版。持續梳理臺灣攝影文化的精髓至今，並專志於古典攝影工藝的教學與創作。
Born in Keelung in 1958, Chien is the founder of the "Sunnygate Photography Gallery" and the "Sunnygate Phototimes." Chien is dedicated to researching and building digital archive of works by representative Taiwanese photographers, as well as the exhibitions and publications of them. He continues to study Taiwanese photography, teach, and create via classical photographic techniques.
